The services during the weekend of February 3rd and 4th were unforgettable. Cottonwood Creek's Artist in Residence Bridgette Hammers led the Cottonwood family in worship to an original song she co-wrote called "Never Unaware". Bridgette and her co-writer, Chris Clayton, wrote the song during a season when they were both questioning circumstances that they were going through.

"Personally, I had recently stepped out in faith to go into full-time ministry and a few months after closing our music studio in faith, my husband was laid off," Bridgette said. "His company sold, and his position was dissolved."

During this time, Bridgette found herself asking God why this had happened. However, when she sat down with Chris to write, they found themselves hanging onto the thought that God is never unaware.

"God knows exactly what we are going through," Bridgette said. "The words, 'I trust I never walk alone' resonated and helped grow my faith. The truth that God is outside of time and yet He comes into time to be with us. He was before time and will be after time."

That weekend, the congregation lifted their voices to God, praising the fact that He is never unaware of any of life's circumstances and struggles. Some knelt at the altar, while others stood with their hands raised, but all were overwhelmed with the presence of God.

Cottonwood Creek wants you to know that you're never alone in whatever you may face in life. As 1 Thessalonians 5:11 states,

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Cottonwood Creek offers several different Care Groups in their Care Ministry for those who are going through a difficult season of life. It is our hope that those who have been through trials and have overcome them would use their experiences to minister and encourage others who are going through a similar circumstance; and it is our hope that those who are currently facing something would find comfort in the Lord and those who have been in their shoes before.
