40 Days of Prayer
This devotional series is in conjunction with the current curriculum series all Life and Home Groups are currently going through.
10 He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
Even sinners can have compassion on others who want a “do over.” How much more so our Heavenly Father who loves perfectly! The psalmist writes that lovingkindness and compassion abound to those who fear (respect) Him. Relationship with God makes us acutely aware of our sin, but the same relationship avails us of His abundant grace. Don’t run from God because of your sin, run to Him. Ask Him to meet you in prayer, confess your sin, and experience His grace.
