40 Days of Prayer

This devotional series is in conjunction with the current curriculum series all Life and Home Groups are currently going through.

Day 22
Monday

Mark 10:29-30

29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life."

Some believe that being a committed Christ-follower requires surrender to an impoverished and lonely lifestyle.  Jesus calls His followers to have a different view of prosperity. In God’s economy, what we are willing to relinquish for the sake of the Gospel is returned to us in abundance and highest quality even in the presence of persecution. Pray that God would help you realize the riches you have in Christ both now and in the age to come.
