What We Provide

Snacks

We do not serve snacks on a weekly basis. On occasion, we may offer a special treat to our Creek Kids. There will be an Allergy alert sign posted on the door if food or treats are being served or used for an activity.

Schedule

We start the morning off playing interactive games and singing! Creek Kids then learn Biblical truths using drama and multimedia technology during Large Group. Since we know the value of relationships, we then transition to Small Groups. In Small Groups, Creek Kids spend time with an assigned group and leaders. Through crafts, activities and engaging conversations, friendships and their faith grow deeper. Elementary Creek Kids are asked to only attend one hour and then attend Worship with their family the other hour. The same programming is used for both hours.

Curriculum

We are currently using The Gospel Project for our curriculum. See Tools For You.

Security
Your child’s safety is the utmost importance to us. These are the guidelines for our Early Childhood rooms:

        • We require two leaders to be in the classroom in order to accept children for drop off.
        • All of our adult Creek Kids leaders are annually background checked and will be wearing a lanyard with a picture I.D. badge or a security sticker printed from the check in system.
        • Our youth leaders must be 14 years old and completed a Youth Covenant that requires a parent signature to serve without a sponsor.
        • 1st – 3rd grade children will only be released to adults or older siblings with a matching security sticker or proper identification. 4th-5th grade children are released on their own.
        • We ask that parents stop at the door and not enter the classroom when dropping off your child. This is less disruptive for other children and allows us to know that only background checked adults are in the classrooms.

Opportunities for Parents

Tools For You
We want to partner with Creek Kid parents. We provide a set of tools for you each week to share about the biblical lesson taught that week; along with activities you can do as a family to further grow your child’s knowledge. Tools include:

      • Big Picture Question
      • Family Devotion
      • Adults/Kids Connection

Volunteer Opportunities
Your child’s safety is the utmost importance to us. These are the guidelines for our Early Childhood rooms:

          • Creek Kids Children Ministry is volunteer based and focuses on partnering with parents at church and at home to serve and love other families. We encourage to consider the opportunities that Children’s Ministry has to offer when you are choosing a place to serve at Cottonwood Creek.
