Jesus had a lot to say about treasure, and men are naturally “treasure seekers.” Like Indiana Jones and many other popular “heroes of adventure,” men will go through much danger and sacrifice to gain “the treasure” they seek. The trouble is, especially in our day, the treasures most men seek deal with fame, money, power, or sensual pleasure.  These are “earthly treasures.” And Jesus had some very pointed words about earthly treasure in Matthew 6:19-21, 33:

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these [other things that you need] will be added to you.”

Indeed, a man’s heart can be easily captured by earthly trinkets.  But Jesus calls us in Matthew 13:44-46 to pursue a different treasure:  the kingdom of heaven.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.”

The kingdom of heaven is hidden in plain sight.  It is not lost, but God wants us to find it.  It is priceless; it cannot be purchased. It is worth everything you have to possess it, but God wants to give it freely, especially to the man whose heart is not captured by cheap imitations. The Kingdom of Heaven is God’s Kingdom, and God is looking for men that He can entrust with this great gift.  He’s looking for men who can recognize “the Pearl of Great Price” when they see it.

The Kingdom of God will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, but in the meantime, God seeks ambassadors, Kingdom Men, to watch over His fields and conduct His business until He comes. Men, did you know that God is calling you to rule a mini-realm? This is what Kingdom Man is all about:  understanding, embracing, and living your call to submit to the comprehensive rule of God over every area of your life so that—in the mini-realm you’ve been given—all these “other things added to you” may bring the best of what God has to offer to you and those impacted by your mini-realm.

Don’t settle for fake treasure, lies that bind, or destinations of destruction.  Grab hold of your true destiny as one of God’s Kingdom Men!  Register now, and join us starting October 2nd.
