Position Requirements

Nursery Leader/Helper
Babies and Toddlers: Volunteers in these rooms provide a welcoming and loving environment for young children as well as meeting their basic needs.

Preschool Large Group Leader
Volunteers help lead 20-30 minute chapel time by sharing the Sunday morning lesson to our preschoolers at either the 8:15 (combined), 9:30 (twos) or 11:00 (threes and Pre-K) service times. A prepared lesson is provided along with any needed supplies, and a puppet skit that helps to reinforce the Bible Point for the week. An every other week commitment is needed.
•    Church Membership: Required
•    Volunteer Questionnaire: Required

•    Commitment: Every Week or Every Other Week

Preschool Leader/Helper
Twos, Threes, & Pre-K: Volunteers in these rooms will read and complete curriculum that has been prepared by the Preschool Director
Preschool Puppet Team
Volunteers will need to help with puppet skits on occasion during the 10:15 preschool chapel time. Commitment would be at least once a month.

•    Weekend Time Requirement: 15 minutes prior to service hour through worship
•    Study/Prep Time Requirement:

Preschool Worship Leader
Volunteers will lead the preschoolers for music and worship time during our chapel hours. Singing, doing engaging movements, and a puppet skit is what will be needed from these volunteers. An every other week commitment is needed for either the 8:15, 9:30 or 11:00 hour.

Elementary Small Group Leader
Kindergarten – 5th grade: Volunteers in this area are assigned a small group of 10-15 grade school children. Volunteers will be responsible for completing the activity provided by the director that will be used to reinforce the story told in large group.
•    Church Membership: Encouraged
•    Volunteer Questionnaire Completion: Required
•    Background Check: Required
•    Commitment: Every other week. Consistency and relationships
      are important to a child’s growth and spiritual development, we are asking for a
      minimum of every other week service and a year commitment.
•    Weekend Time Requirement: Arrives no later than 15 minutes prior to regular service hour
•    Study/Prep Time Requirement: 10-15 minutes
•    Hours Available: Sunday Morning 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00

Elementary Large Group Leader
Volunteers lead a 20-30 minute lesson during the 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00 service hours in the kindergarten, 1-2, or 345 rooms. Lessons are provided by the age group director and can be used as a guide to preparing on Sundays. Any special supplies needed for teaching will be provided by the age group director, coordinator, and media support. Large Group Leaders are placed on a recurring rotation.

•    Commitment: Rotational Schedule
•    Weekend Time Requirement: Large Group Leaders teach approximately 30 minutes for both the 9:30a and 11:00a hours.
•    Study/Prep Time Requirement: 2 hours
•    Hours Available: Sunday Morning 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00

Elementary Media Team
Media volunteers arrive 15 minutes prior to service hour and help support the ministry hour by running all needed sound and computer needs. The Media Intern or Elementary Lead provides training and support prior to service time and prepare all needed media prior to Sundays. Media volunteers serve on a rotation and usually serve only during one hour on a Sunday morning. Sound and media checks are performed prior to Sunday mornings by either the Elementary Lead or Media Intern.
•    Church Membership: Encouraged
•    Volunteer Questionnaire: Required
•    Background Check: Required (if over 18)
•    Commitment: Rotational Schedule
•    Weekend Time Requirement: 15 minutes prior to service hour
•    Study/Prep Time Requirement: 0, once trained. Setup done by CM team prior to Sunday morning.
•    Hours Available: Sunday Morning 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00

Elementary Worship Leader
Volunteers who are interested in leading worship (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard) during Large Group time (K-1st-2nd or 3rd-4th-5th). Worship songs are selected with input from the Elementary Team. Technical and media equipment training are provided. Volunteers for this team are on a recurring rotation.

•    Background Check: Required (if over 18)
•    Commitment: Rotational Schedule
•    Weekend Time Requirement: 15 minutes prior to service hour through worship
•    Study/Prep Time Requirement: Minimal
•    Hours Available: Sunday Morning 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00

Welcome Desk Team
Volunteers on this team help at the main Welcome Desk in the front atrium. These volunteers will help guests check in by entering information into the computer, answer questions, and find classes. This team is the first point of contact for most guests.
•    Church Membership: Required
•    Volunteer Questionnaire: Required
•    Background Check: Required
•    Commitment: Every Week, Every Other Week, Every 4th Week
•    Weekend Time Requirement: 20 minutes before/after each service
      begins, and 10 minutes after final service.
•    Study/Prep Time Requirement: None
•    Hours Available: Sunday Morning 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00

AWANA Director
Preschool – 12th grade: The AWANA Leadership Team consists of various directors that oversee one age-specific club or youth program. The director guides and shepherds leaders who work directly with children/youth. Directors are responsible for the weekly operation of an individual club (Cubbies, Sparks, T&T, Trek or Journey).
•    Church Membership: Required
•    Volunteer Questionnaire Completion: Required
•    Background Check: Required
•    Commitment: Weekly throughout AWANA year (September-April).
•    Study/Prep Time Requirement: Minimal/Varies
•    Hours Available: Sunday afternoons, 4:00p-6:00p.

AWANA Leader

•    Commitment: Weekly throughout AWANA year (September-April)

AWANA Listener/Helper
