Iron Men of God
 
Iron Men of God (IMOG) is a ministry developed to take men deeper in their relationship with the Lord.  It is our desire to see men lead their families by example and service, worship God with passion and conviction, and serve their church and community with integrity and honor.  The ministry is for men who are ready to stretch their faith and take the next step in their walk with Christ!  "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another"  Proverbs 27:17.  Please feel free to contact us at ironmen(at)cottonwoodcreek.org">ironmen(at)cottonwoodcreek.org with any questions.
 
Rookie School
It all begins with "Rookie School." The basic principles of training fire fighters are adapted to a ministry setting. IMOG Rookie School is an intensive six-eight month long process that focuses on 7 Spiritual Disciplines:

2. 2. Prayer
3. 3. Study
4. 4. Obedience
5. 5. Service
6. 6. Fellowship
7. 7. Leadership

It is not for those who want to sit on the edge. It is for those men who really want to be more. Those who complete this process become true Iron Men of God. They are commissioned and wear identifying shirts - then the real work begins. As our men are being changed and conformed to the image of Christ, our church will be transformed as well!

Accountability Groups

Interested in forming an Accountability Group? Proverbs 18:24 says, “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”  As men, we typically have lots of “buddies” but not very many (if any) close friends that we can be real with - men who know where we may be struggling and who can come along side and help us on our journey through life.

But this is not how God intended for us to live our lives!  Moses had Aaron, David had Jonathan, Paul had Silas, Timothy and Titus and even Jesus had a closer relationship with Peter, James and John. Click here for information on how to start an accountability group.  It is easy to do and will greatly enhance your life as you start to experience life God’s way. Choose men from your Life Group, from your work, from your neighborhood - anywhere. The key is to surround yourself with a couple other Christian men who are willing to commit to making this journey with you.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
