Birth - Kinder

Sunday | 9:30 & 11 a.m.
Saturday | 5 p.m.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our Nursery provides your child with physical and emotional care as well as the opportunity to experience Christ through developmentally appropriate lessons and activities. The Preschool and PreK - Kindergarten Ministry is a cooperative effort between the church and the home to bring children into age appropriate worship where they can know and grow in their relationship with Christ.

On Sundays your Nursery - Kindergarten children are welcome to stay for two unique services of Bible study programming that is interactive, Christ centered and fun!

We are excited you will be joining us and look forward to meeting your family! For a quick check-in process, complete our online “First-time Guest Registration” form for each family member that will be attending Cottonwood.

When you arrive, proceed to the Children’s Welcome Desk in the lobby.  Let our trained check-in desk volunteers know you registered online. They will help complete the check-in process by printing security labels for your children.  Deacons will be stationed at the desk to assist and answer any questions and take you to drop off your children at their classrooms.

GUEST REGISTRATION

When checking in at one of the kiosks, your child will receive a security sticker with their name, classroom number, and a threecharacter code to place on their shirt. An additional sticker will print with the matching three-character code for you to keep and use at pick-up. We will not release any child without the code or proper identification.

A leader will greet you and your child at the classroom door (do not enter the classroom) and take down your cell phone number, in case we need to contact you.

When you arrive at the classroom door, have your three-character code so that the our leader may verify it matches with the code on your child’s name tag.

Snacks

Butter cookies will be served.

Curriculum

Your child will hear a Bible story every Sunday in a clear and meaningful way that is easy for preschoolers to understand. We reinforce the story each week by using activities, games, crafts, color sheets, and puppets. Weekly lessons and activities are planned using Standard Publishing’s Heartshaper curriculum.

Security

Your child’s safety is the utmost importance to us. These are the guidelines for our Early Childhood rooms:

  • We require two leaders in the classroom to accept children for drop off.
  • All our adult Creek Kids leaders are annually background checked and will be wearing a lanyard with a picture I.D. badge or a security sticker printed from the check in system.
  • Our youth leaders must be 14 years old and completed a Youth Covenant that requires a parent signature to serve without a sponsor.
  • Children will only be released to adults with a security sticker or proper identification, not siblings.
  • We ask that parents stop at the door and not enter the classroom when dropping off your child. This is less disruptive for other children and allows us to know that only background checked adults are in the classrooms.

Creek Kids comes to you! Can’t be at Creek Kids on campus this weekend? We’ve got an online option so that your Creek Kid won’t miss out.

Preschool video lessons are posted online at 9 a.m. every Sunday on YouTube and Facebook.

At Cottonwood Creek Church, we want to come alongside and help you on your faith journey. We believe the true “Authentic Faith” is one that thrives both inside and outside the walls of the church building. It is not something that can be compartmentalized or only demonstrated on Sunday mornings.
