Steadfast Love: The Response of God to the Cries of Our Heart, by Lauren Chandler

Tuesdays, 6:30p-8:30p, September 12 - October 24

There are times when worship overflows easily and effortlessly from a heart full of gratitude and praise. Yet, there are other times when God seems far and we feel we have nothing left to offer. We are tired, or thirsty, or imprisoned in our own chains through our own devices, or caught in the waves of a tumultuous sea. This is when God shows us His steadfast love. In this 7 week study, Lauren Chandler shares what she has learned of the steadfast love of the Lord.

Mentor to Mentor: A study of the book "Woman to Woman: Preparing Yourself to Mentor" by Edna Ellison and Tricia Scribner

Wednesdays, 6:45p-8:45p, September 13 - November 8

Many Christian women have come to understand our biblical mandate for life-on-life discipleship of someone younger in the faith. Most women embrace this role, though, with at least some uncertainty about their ability to carry such a great responsibility. A biblically-based personal study, Woman to Woman: Preparing Yourself to Mentor will guide a woman step-by-step through the process of readying herself for such a relationship. This study will help the mentor-to-be to evaluate her own gifts and how they can be used in mentoring, to examine the different possible roles of a mentor, to develop a plan for starting off the mentoring relationship in a positive way and to avoid the dangers that befall mentoring relationships.

Philippians

Tuesdays, 12:15p-1p, September 26-October 31

The book of Philippians features some of scripture’s most quoted passages about dealing with hardship (Philippians 4:13 anyone?). At the same time, it is often referred to as “Book of Joy”. No, this is not a contradiction! This short, four-chapter epistle packs a powerful punch. Its central message is one that we must cling to daily as believers – that true contentment comes from imitating Christ, who humbled himself to the point of death on the cross on our behalf.

In this six week study we will work through each of the four chapters of the book, with a week of introduction and a week of conclusion. There are no additional study tools required – participants will read each assigned passage twice per day, and then meet together each week for a time of discussion and teaching of key theological principles found in the text.

This 45 minute, mid-day, time slot is perfect for women who work in the area and can take a lunch break to come and grow their faith with other like-minded believers.

Childcare is available for an additional fee of $30.00.
