Local worship artist Bridgette Hammers releases new song “Never Unaware.” This song has already touched thousands in her home church Cottonwood Creek Church in Allen where she serves as Artist in Residence. It will be available for pre-sale on March 25th with the release date set for April 10th.
Deeply rooted in gospel music from her East Texas upbringing, she began singing when she was just 4 years old in a small country Baptist church. Since stepping out into full time worship ministry, she has led worship throughout the United States for organizations such as Methodist Health System, MOPS International, various conferences, and churches of all sizes and denominations.
Never Unaware was written to bring encouragement to all going through hard seasons of life. "Personally, I had recently stepped out in faith to go into full-time ministry and a few months after closing our music studio in faith, my husband was laid off," Bridgette said. "His companysold, and his position was dissolved." During this time, Bridgette found herself asking God why this had happened. However, when she sat down with Chris Clayton to write, they found themselves hanging onto the thought that God is never unaware. "God knows exactly what we are going through," Bridgette said. "The words, 'I trust I never walk alone' resonated and helped grow my faith. I love the truth that God is outside of time, and yet He comes into time to be with us. He was before time and will be after time."
“God, let your voice be heard, let your breath be felt, and your light be seen.” Bridgette repeats this prayer before worship. “Hearing stories of triumph through a difficult journey encourages me. Experiencing people’s lives transformed in the presence of God in worship is a passion I cannot shake.”
Her unique way of encouraging others to believe and discover the love of God has brought encouragement and motivation to thousands, and her goal is to continue finding new ways to use her voice and talent to help others discover a better life through Jesus Christ.
