Native Texan Pete Orta serves as pastor of the Denison Campus of Cottonwood Creek Church. Husband of Kelli since 1993, and father of four, Pete’s background flows around the music industry.
He’s been nominated for three Grammy Awards (winning one), nominated for a Dove Award, and was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
He has founded a non-profit to help “unchosen” young adults, taking them in off the streets and finds joy in challenging the post-modern worldview from the pages of Scripture. Pete has a passion for Christian apologetics and is a student and teacher of systematic theology, church history and biblical hermeneutics.
Despite his deep learning, and storied ‘show business’ career, Pete reports that he has never watched an episode of ‘Friends.’
