Every Saturday, 5:00 p - 6:00 p
What to Expect
During the Saturday evening services, 1st through 3rd graders will learn about home and international missions. They can help and show others who Christ is through service, regardless of their age.
Each week, they will play games, participate in a service project and end by helping our preschoolers complete their craft project.
What We Provide
We do not serve snacks on a weekly basis. On occasion, we may offer a special treat to our Creek Kids. There will be an Allergy alert sign posted on the door if food or treats are being served or used for an activity.
Your child’s safety is the utmost importance to us. These are the guidelines for our Early Childhood rooms:
We require two leaders to be in the classroom to accept children for drop off.
All our adult Creek Kids leaders are annually background checked and will be wearing a lanyard with a picture I.D. badge or a security sticker printed from the check in system.
Our youth leaders must be 14 years old and completed a Youth Covenant that requires a parent signature to serve without a sponsor.
1st – 3rd grade children will only be released to adults or older siblings with a matching three-character security sticker or proper identification.
Parents must stop at the door and not enter the classroom when dropping off your children. This is less disruptive for other children and allows us to know that only background checked adults are in the classrooms.
Awards & Recognition
You may hear your kiddo talk about wooden “coins”. They can earn these “coins” every Sunday and have fun “shopping” at our Creek Kids Coin Store or use them to support Mission causes.
How to earn coins:
- bringing a friend
- small group participation
- memorizing the key verse
- completing the family journal page
- having a birthday
- bringing a non-electronic Bible.
They can “spend” their coins each week or choose to save them to “buy” prizes ranging from 1-coin value to 100 coins.
Opportunities for Parents
We want to partner with Creek Kid parents. We provide a set of tools to share about the biblical lesson taught that week; along with activities you can do as a family to further grow your child’s knowledge. Tools include:
- Big Picture Question
- Family Devotion
- Adults/Kids Connection
- Volunteer Opportunities
Creek Kids Children Ministry is volunteer based and focuses on partnering with parents at church and at home to serve and love other families. We encourage you to consider the opportunities that Children’s Ministry has to offer when you are choosing a place to serve at Cottonwood Creek.
Keep up to date and informed on what is going on at church and in Creek Kids Ministry by following us on social media.
