Building Blocks of Faith

Thursdays | April 29 - May 27 | 7 p.m. | A204 | $5

Do you long to go a little deeper in your faith?
Ϯ      What reasons do we have for believing that Christianity is true?
Ϯ      What are the foundational building blocks on which Christianity based?
Ϯ      Will your faith anchor hold in the storms of today’s anti-Christian culture?

Join us as we consider the answers to these questions and more as we follow Pastor John Mark’s clear explanation of the core beliefs of Christianity.
The Christian faith has weathered numerous attempts to change the principles of our faith to fit people's desires of the moment. Our faith is under attack today as never before.  However, the basic tenets of our faith have remained constant for 1,990 years because the basic building blocks have never changed.  They are the same today as when the Holy Spirit empowered the apostles to go forth in obedience to Jesus’ command. Those who fail to understand these fundamental doctrines are susceptible to heresy and abuse.

"Building Blocks of Faith" explains the basic doctrines of the faith in a simple, understandable manner. John Mark Caton writes as a pastor, not a seminary professor. You will not need an advanced degree or years of study to appreciate what is explained on these pages.
Pastor John Mark provides a thorough explanation of each of the following doctrines:

  • Bible
  • God
  • Jesus Christ
  • Holy Spirit
  • Salvation
  • Church
  • Second Coming of Jesus

After this series, you will have a new appreciation of the Christian faith. You will also discover that good doctrine results in faithful actions and a stronger personal relationship with God.

This series is offered in partnership with the Collin County chapter of Reasonable Faith.  Ron Woodruff and Dr. Byron Gillory, Reasonable Faith chapter directors, will lead class discussions, with special guest appearances by Cottonwood Creek Church leaders.
