Every Sunday, 9:30 a - 12:30 p
What to Expect
Check-in and Drop-off for 9:30a and 11:00a
When checking in at one of the kiosks, your child will receive a security sticker with their name and a three-character code to place on the front of their shirt. A leader will be near the entrance to welcome your child into the activities underway.
- We encourage families to identify a meeting place as 4th-5th graders are released on their own after small groups. 4th-5th graders can pick up younger elementary age siblings, but they must have the three-character code with them and must exit the gym in the secure children's hallway.
What We Provide
We do not serve snacks on a weekly basis. On occasion, we may offer a special treat to our Creek Kids. There will be an Allergy alert sign posted on the door if food or treats are being served or used for an activity.
We start the morning off playing interactive games and singing! Creek Kids then learn biblical truths using drama and multimedia technology during Large Group. After Large Groups we transition to Small Groups. In Small Groups, Creek Kids spend time with an assigned group and leaders. Through crafts, activities and engaging conversations, friendships and their faith grow deeper. Elementary Creek Kids attend one service and may attend Worship with their family the other service. The same programming is used for both hours.
We use the Gospel Project by Lifeway. Our Creek Kids go through the whole Bible nearly twice by the time they leave the Elementary program.
See Tools For You
Your child’s safety is the utmost importance to us. These are the guidelines for our Early Childhood rooms:
We require two leaders in the classroom to accept children for drop off.
All our adult Creek Kids leaders are annually background checked and will be wearing a lanyard with a picture I.D. badge or a security sticker printed from the check in system.
Our youth leaders must be 14 years old and completed a Youth Covenant that requires a parent signature to serve without a sponsor.
1st -3rd grade children will only be released to adults or older siblings with a matching three-character code security sticker or proper identification. 4th-5th grade children are released on their own.
Parents must stop at the door and not enter the classroom when dropping off your children. This is less disruptive for other children and allows us to know that only background checked adults are in the classrooms.
Awards & Recognition
You may hear your kiddo talk about wooden “coins”. They can earn these “coins” every Sunday and have fun “shopping” at our Creek Kids Coin Store or use them to support Mission causes.
How to earn coins:
- small group participation
- memorizing the key verse
- bringing a non-electronic Bible.
They can “spend” their coins each week at our coin store or donate them to support our coins for a cause.
Opportunities for Parents
We want to partner with Creek Kid parents. We provide a set of tools to share about the biblical lesson taught that week; along with activities you can do as a family to further grow your child’s knowledge.
- Big Picture Question
- Family Devotion
- Volunteer Opportunities
Creek Kids Children’s Ministry is volunteer-based and focuses on partnering with parents at church and at home to serve and love other families. We encourage you to consider the opportunities that the Children’s Ministry has to offer when you are choosing a place to serve at Cottonwood Creek.
Keep up to date and informed on what is going on at church and in Creek Kids Ministry by following us on social media.
