Dear grandparents and future grandparents,

I was in my 27th year as a senior pastor before I heard any teaching about biblical grandparenting. I had never considered teaching about grandparenting myself because I didn’t truly understand what scripture says about grandparents and their purpose in a family.

But when Deuteronomy 4:9 and Psalm 78 were explained at a seminar led by Legacy Coalition founder, Larry Fowler—a clear presentation of God’s purpose for grandparents—it literally changed the course of my ministry. When I retired after 30 years as a senior pastor/teaching pastor, I redeployed with Legacy Coalition so I could speak and preach wherever possible on the subject I missed—intentional Christian grandparenting. I have a passion for grandparents to discover what I didn’t understand. I pray this manual will assist you in reaching and discipling your grandchildren for Christ.
