The Cottonwood Creek Cancer Care Ministry seeks to offer God’s hope and love through spiritual, emotional and practical support for cancer patients and their families facing the challenges associated with every type of cancer.
A cancer diagnosis can make you feel isolated, frightened… alone. But you are not alone. God is there with you, first and always. Cottonwood Creek’s Cancer Care Ministry’s mission is to offer God’s hope and love for those facing the challenges of cancer.
Our volunteers are survivors who faced their cancer journey with faith and want to make a difference in the lives of others. It is our desire to honestly and sincerely practice the second commandment principle “Love Your Neighbor As Yourself” so that No One Faces Cancer Alone.
The emotional impact of a diagnosis can be overwhelming. Being part of a support group means you do not have to navigate cancer alone. Social support and encouragement are very important in helping us cope with adversity, as cancer can be one of life’s most difficult challenges.
Many of the individuals involved are cancer survivors and caregivers who understand firsthand what patients and their loved ones go through. Our hope is based on God’s promises to us and our mission is to support you in any way we can. We will walk alongside you, trust and believe in you and help empower your faith through the cancer journey.
Our informal meetings are facilitated by caring cancer survivors who understand the challenges you are facing. Email us to get the link to the meeting at cancersupport@cottonwoodcreek.org.

All of these resources are provided for you at no charge and have been prayed over by cancer survivors and our church family. Our prayer is they provide spiritual and emotional support for patients and families.
Throughout the course of our lives, each one of us will have to have difficult conversations with the Creator at
some point. Circumstances arise that cause us to come face-to-face with the reality of this fallen world. One
of those many circumstances is a cancer diagnosis. How exactly do you pray to the Lord in such a time of
uncertainty and fear?
Throughout October each year, you can support our Cancer Care Ministry by creating and praying over blankets that will be given out to friends, neighbors, North Texas Hospitals and Cancer Centers. Download the blanket instructions, watch the tutorial and create a blanket right at home! This is an inspiring project to do with your family and/or LifeGroup! Please return the blanket to the Missions Wall.
Don’t walk through your cancer journey alone. We understand. Our survivor volunteers have been where you are now. They have experienced cancer themselves and are now making a difference in the lives of others who are facing a battle with cancer. They have survived the journey, can relate to what you are experiencing and are trained to listen, care & share.
Please contact the Cancer Support Ministry if you would like to connect via email or schedule a confidential phone call with a survivor that had the same type of cancer or is in a similar season of life.
A cancer diagnosis can be devastating for a family. Children are no exception to that. The Cancer Care For Kids ministry exists to walk beside children who have a family member dealing with cancer. This ministry provides hope, encouragement and an outlet for them to express their emotions and feelings.
Cottonwood Creek has partnered with Little Hearts of Hope to make this ministry a reality. Little Hearts Of Hope is a Christian organization that supports children affected by a family member’s cancer diagnosis. Through monthly encouragement packets, prayer supports and cancer resources, they walk alongside your child providing hope and encouragement.
Little Hearts of Hope is a Christian based program dedicated to supporting children affected by a cancer diagnosis in their family. Each month, we mail an activity pack directly to the hurting child to help them process their feelings and filter their emotions through the Word of God. These no cost monthly mailings provide much-needed hope during a difficult journey.

The Cottonwood Creek Cancer Care Ministry vision and mission is to offer God’s hope and love through emotional, spiritual and practical support for patients, caregivers, family and friends facing the challenges of cancer.
It is our desire to honestly and sincerely practice the second commandment principle “Love your neighbor as yourself” so that no one faces cancer alone. We will allow God and His Spirit to direct us and lead us as we become the hands and feet of Jesus for those in need of love and service.
If you would like to join a caring body of believers for one of our weekend worship services, please email the Cancer Care Ministry so that we can meet you in the lobby to make sure you don’t sit alone.
