About: I specialize in helping men who struggle with unwanted sexual behavior and helping couples heal from relationship trauma, whether that trauma stems from challenges within a marriage or past experiences that have been brought into the relationship. Together, we can work to uncover the root causes of your struggles, whether it’s unaddressed emotional pain, unhealthy coping mechanisms, or the underlying beliefs that continue to drive your actions. While my specialty includes relationship trauma and men struggling with unwanted sexual behaviors, my clinical experience includes treatment of a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and multiple compulsive/addictive behaviors.
In addition to running Healing Journey Counseling, my wife Leah and I run the Sexual Integrity and Betrayal Trauma Ministry at Cottonwood Creek Church. My educational background includes a BS in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. We have 2 beautiful children and love being anywhere outdoors.

About: I have been a therapist for nearly 25 years. I have been trained as a trauma therapist, however, am experienced in treating all mental health issues. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is of utmost importance. While knowledge of therapy modalities is definitely important, a good fit between therapist and client is essential. My belief in and relationship with God drives my passion for meeting the needs of my clients. I am very straightforward in my approach to therapy. Having been trained as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist I am always going to align with truth and help my clients through whatever painful truths are revealed.
