LifeGroup leaders, take a moment to look through all the different curriculum options we have for your group in 2022. Choose from three categories: parenting, marriage and community.
Life Group Leadership!
As we kick off 2022, we know three of the greatest struggles people have right now: marriage problems, parenting problems, and isolation. Though we have had a lot of visitors come through our church, we want to connect more visitors to our Life Groups by addressing these specific needs. To do this, we are asking our Life Groups starting January 30th to do a short series on Marriage, Parenting, or Community. You’ll see a variety of options in the lists below. Our hope is that this will provide an on-ramp into our Life Groups and give people an easy jump start into getting plugged in at the church.
A few instructions:
If you have any trouble accessing any of the materials, please email Julia.white@cottonwoodcreek.org. Finally, while it is acceptable for your group to choose a different study, please understand that your group will not be highlighted as prominently in our Life Group promotional material for new visitors as we kick off the year.
We look forward to a great year of getting many people deeply rooted at all that God is doing in and through Cottonwood Creek!
God built us for relationships. They supply the most joy we experience, but also the most heartache. Whether you are single or married, whether you consider friendships or romances, you understand the potential intensity and conflict of relationships. How do you live a life full of relationships that honor God and encourage you in our faith. J.D. Greear, the lead pastor at The Summit Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, teaches this six session in Ephesians 5 on the theme of building gospel-centered relationships. This passage focuses on marriage, but the lessons apply to all of us. Our first love is Jesus, and all other loves should be enhanced by, and secondary to, our love for him. These sessions are longer, so we encourage you to use them in teacher prep rather than simply playing the video in class as it will limit your discussion ability. If your group chooses this study, we have written material and discussion questions to go along with the videos as resources.
Homes where deep and meaningful faith conversations happen regularly aren’t the product of lucky parents. They’re the product of intentional parents who believe nothing is more important than raising kids to know and love Jesus. In this six-session series, author Natasha Crain offers parents tools and encouragement for creating low-grade, consistent efforts to clarify who Jesus is, why he matters, and how kids can live impacted by their faith in him.

If you’re going to be a grandparent, why not be intentional? That’s not only where the real fun and joy is, but it’s also where you’ll find a pro-active, deeply relational way to make an earthly and eternal difference with your grandchildren. Grandparenting was God’s idea. And the good news is that he outlined a plan for how to be an effective one. He provided the ideal delivery system, four strategic roles for you today, and a deeper heart connection for you to enjoy. This study –Grace Based Grandparenting: Discover the Secrets to Heart Connection– will equip you with a profound relational strategy that will empower you to touch your grandchildren’s lives for time and eternity.

You cannot grow spiritually unless you’re connected relationally. Why is community so important to your spiritual life? God designed us that way. He wants to use other people to grow us and he wants to use us to grow other people. In this six-session video-based study, you’ll explore how building deep relationships with the people in your small group and serving in the larger community around you will grow your faith, you’ll learn why your unique story matters…to God and to the people you do life with.
