About: From striving for perfection to rest in the freedom of authenticity and grace, Lydia’s journey is one of transformation. Growing up in a culture where emotions were rarely expressed, she learned early on to appear “put together” while quietly struggling inside. Through her own process of healing, Lydia got to experience the freedom of emotional honesty and God’s heart for restoration—a process that deeply shapes the way she walks with her clients today.

Originally from China, Lydia earned a Master of Science in Cognitive Neuroscience before moving to Dallas to complete her Master of Arts in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary. This blend of scientific training, theological depth, and lived cross-cultural experience gives her a unique perspective in understanding both the emotional and spiritual dimensions of healing.

Lydia specializes in couples counseling and trauma recovery, with a particular focus on cross-cultural relationships and individuals navigating cultural or identity transitions. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)—approaches that help clients restore safety, connection, and hope.

Lydia believes healing begins when we feel seen and understood, and her passion is helping people rebuild connection—with themselves, with others, and with God.

Married for over a decade and a mother of three energetic boys, Lydia values family, authenticity, and faith. She considers it an honor to walk alongside individuals and couples who desire to grow in emotional health, relational wholeness, and a renewed sense of God’s peace in their story.
