Uncommon Love

Love & Support

This ministry exists to support and encourage parents of kids (of any age) who identify as LGBTQ. Our primary mission is to equip and encourage you to love your kids like Jesus does—with compassion for their wounded hearts yet without compromising the truth of the Word or character of God. We also strive to give you a safe, confidential place to explore your grief and concerns, along with the common causes of same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria. We will also discuss strategies for building (or regaining) trust with your child and repairing your relationship with him or her.

At Uncommon Love, you will have the opportunity to become part of a community that will support you in this journey.

FAQ's

Your attendance of this class is completely confidential, and the only people who will be aware you’ve attended are the leader and the other class attendees.

Mary is a seasoned and experienced Christian Ministry Director, Author, Speaker, and Certified Professional Life Coach.  She is a gifted and caring leader whose passion is to help Christians navigate the painful circumstances of life in the healthiest and best way possible, honoring God and restoring joy even in the midst of unspeakable hurt and brokenness.  Mary is also a twice-published author.

Mary became involved in ministry to families of those in the LGBTQ community after her own daughter came out. Experiencing that devastation firsthand, and finding little Christ-centered encouragement for parents like herself, she established Uncommon Love Ministries with the support of her local church. Uncommon Love: God’s Heart for Christian Parents of Gay Kids (Morgan James Faith, 2018) is a Bible study—the first of its kind—for parents and family members of those in the LGBTQ community. The focus of both the Bible study and Uncommon Love Ministries is to love as Jesus loved—with compassion for the hurting along with uncompromising faith in Jesus. Uncommon Love resounds with the truth of God’s Word, His promises, and the hope we all have in Jesus—no matter our circumstances
