The Gift weekend



What is The Gift Weekend? It’s an amazing time for individuals, families and LifeGroups to serve OnMission together with multiple service opportunities on our Cottonwood Creek Campus! We have many opportunities to choose from including meal packing, a winter coat drive, hair donations and Christmas card-making for an orphanage, to name a few. Don’t miss out on this awesome opportunity to serve!

The Gift Weekend Dates: November 13 & 14, 2021


  • Pack a Gift for Operation Christmas Child | Find more information on this opportunity here.
    • Please read the Informational Letter from our OCC Team on excellent ways to involve your Life Group in packing shoeboxes. Included are video tutorials, testimonies, and other great options, like “How to Host a Packing Party” and building your shoebox online! Free pre-printed Shoeboxes are available at the Missions Wall in the Atrium.
  • Sponsor a Meal Box – Sponsor a box for $65. Stop by the Mission Wall on Sunday mornings to start your sponsorship!
  • Set-Up Team | Starting at 9 a.m. | Help us set up for The Gift!
  • Saturday Meal Packing 
    • Meal Packing Table Assembly Line | Serve as an Individual, Family or Life Group| Max. 8 people per table
    • NEW! Meal Packing Muscle Team | Keep the event running smoothly | Bin Fillers & Box Haulers (35-50 lbs)

  • Gospel Conversation Training | Learn to share the Gospel using the 3 Circles 3-Minute Method.
  • Meal Packing | We have two different opportunities at this station:
    • Meal Packing Table Assembly Line | Serve as an Individual, Family or Life Group| 8 people per table | Table Leader Required
    • NEW! Meal Packing Bin & Box Team | Keep the event running smoothly | Bin Fillers & Box Haulers (35-50 lbs)
  • Mission Trip Information (Mission Wall)
  • Missionary Christmas Card Writing – Cards for our supported Missionaries around the World (Atrium)
  • Naomi’s Village Christmas Card Decorating – Children’s Orphanage in Kenya (Atirum)
  • Operation Christmas Child Box Drop-off (Atrium)
  • Ponytail Donation | Partner with the Pink Heart Fund to donate hair to make wigs for people suffering hair loss as a result of illness.
  • Sunday Clean-up Team | After The Gift, we’ll need some help getting cleaned up. If you love to organize and tidy, this may be the job for you.
  • Winter Coat Drive | Adult Coats in Good Condition (working zippers, no tears) | Drop off B118


Yes! We will sell t-shirts through Nov. 14. They will cost $15 each, and we will offer sizes Small – XXXL.

Don’t Worry! If registration is closed there will be a Volunteer Kiosk in The Crossing near the Reception Desk to check for openings. Check out the other opportunities that do not require a registration.

Absolutely! All opportunities are open to children Kindergarten through 12th grade. The Christmas Card Decorating Station, for the Naomi’s Village Orphanage in Kenya, is open to ALL AGES! Childcare is available for children birth through Kindergarten on Sunday 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while parents are serving and attending Worship Service.
