Jason Rains has been in ministry for over 30 years. He has been leading worship for Cottonwood Creek for the past 3 years and has served as the Worship Pastor at East Fork Church since January of 2024. Jason, his wife Sara and their four children live in Wylie, Tx where he and his wife are both educators for Wylie ISD. Jason has a desire to raise up a church that longs for and embraces the presence of God not only in the church house, but in places and spaces they do life.
We believe the Bible is breathed-out by God, inerrant in its original form and our primary source of Truth.
We believe in the one eternal God, Creator and Ruler of all things, revealed in Three Persons: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in Jesus Christ, who is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He came down from heaven, took on flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, was crucified, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is the Agent of conviction, the Giver of new life, the One who fills up and guides every believer and the Church to accomplish the work of God, and the One who seals all believers until the day of redemption.
We believe humanity is created in the image of God and since the disobedience of Adam and Eve, all are sinners separated from God and in need of His salvation.
We believe salvation is the free gift of God’s grace found only in Jesus Christ, and if you confess that He is Lord and believe God raised Him from the dead, you are saved.
We believe Jesus Christ will come again and judge the living and the dead, that those who have trusted in Christ as their Lord and Savior will spend eternity in His presence, and those who have rejected Christ will be eternally separated from Him.
We believe that every Christian is called to be actively engaged in a local church and pursue a life that models a love for God and a love for others in an effort to do whatever it takes for the Gospel.
We are so excited to meet you and get to know you a little better! Please reach out with questions or concerns, or just to say hi, and we’ll be in touch shortly!
