Brad Ashley
LPC-A (Under the supervision of Dr. Bernice Riley LPC-S)

I specialize in helping men and couples heal from relationship trauma, whether that trauma stems from challenges within a marriage or past experiences that have been brought into the relationship. Together, we can work to uncover the root causes of your struggles, whether it’s unaddressed emotional pain, unhealthy coping mechanisms, or the underlying beliefs that continue to drive your actions. While my specialty includes relationship trauma and men struggling with unwanted sexual behaviors, my clinical experience includes treatment of a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and compulsive/addictive behaviors.

I understand what it feels like to be stuck in cycles of shame and frustration, especially when it comes to struggling with sexual integrity. From the outside looking in, I had it all. A loving wife, beautiful family, successful career, I was living the dream…it seemed. However, what no one saw was the secret life I was living and the sin and shame that had me trapped. If you find yourself in a similar place—feeling trapped by behaviors that undermine your sense of self-worth, your relationships, or your life goals—I want you to know that there is hope. I have seen God’s redeeming work in the lives of countless men and couples that I have had the privilege to walk alongside.

Through a personalized approach rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we will work to heal the deeper issues at the heart of your struggles. CBT helps identify and realign faulty beliefs that are holding you back, while EFT focuses on the primary emotions driving unhealthy behaviors and sabotaging your connection with others. My goal is to walk with you through this difficult journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation. It’s not just about overcoming specific behaviors—it’s about reclaiming your identity and restoring your sense of purpose.

Healing, redemption, and freedom are possible, but it takes commitment, hard work, and a willingness to face the challenges ahead. Together, we will work toward rebuilding trust, growing in empathy, and restoring intimacy in your relationships. Whether you are seeking to rebuild your marriage, restore your sexual integrity, heal from past trauma, or address other concerns in your life, I am here to meet you where you are and help you move forward with confidence.

In addition to running a counseling practice, Healing Journey Counseling, with my wife Leah, I am currently on staff at Cottonwood Creek Church, where I lead the Sexual Integrity Ministry. My educational background includes a BS in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. We have 2 beautiful children and love being anywhere outdoors.
