I started my counseling career in 2005 and have had the privilege to walk alongside children, teens and adults as they seek healing and understanding. I truly believe everyone can benefit from the counseling process and a counselor relationship.  I love seeing clients learn new ways of thinking and alternative ways of coping that can be used to mend past hurts, solve present problems and be called upon for future struggles. Using a cognitive-behavioral approach, I strive to help clients identify negative thought patterns and replace them with truthful, healthy thoughts.

I find it particularly rewarding to work with stressed out, anxious teens struggling to manage unrealistic expectations. Watching them weave together new ways of thinking, coping skills, increased self-awareness, healthy ways of communicating and a strong sense of self as they work to become a stronger, more whole person is a beautiful process.

I have experience working with the following treatment areas: Anxiety, ADHD in children, Bipolar Disorder, Boundaries, Children of divorce, Codependency, Communication, Decision making, Depression, Family issues, Grief, Guilt, Managing stress, OCD, Panic Disorder, Parenting, School problems, Self-esteem, Self-image, Self-worth issues, Shame,  and Social anxiety.  I have a Master of Arts in Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna insurance. Reduced fee available for those who qualify.
