What is the purpose of membership?
The church exists for the glory of God the Father through His son Jesus Christ. Since the beginning work of the apostles, the church has been founded on, sustained by and propelled forward through the work of Jesus Christ. Cottonwood Creek Church exists to glorify God by loving God and loving others - and we would love for you to join us!
Becoming a Member
Step 1: Believe
A member is one who believes that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father (John 14:6) and upholds the whole Bible as the standard for truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17). They are faithful followers of Jesus Christ and seek to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Click to learn more about What We Believe.
Step 2: Connect
Each member at Cottonwood Creek is expected to be an active part of a smaller group engaged in biblical community, called Life Groups. Our Life Groups are a great way to grow spiritually as each group is committed to teaching God’s Word, genuine community and encouraging one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25) Click to learn more about Life Groups.
Step 3: Engage
Every member embraces the opportunity to Be On Mission. The Bible is clear as it speaks to those who are fully devoted followers of Jesus by commanding us to care for the least of these (Matthew 25:45), to serve those in need (Matthew 20:28) and to reach those who do not know Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20). Being On Mission @ Cottonwood Creek is being a representative, an ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20) for Christ in how you live, love and care for people. Click to learn more about being On Mission.
If you are interested in becoming a member of Cottonwood Creek, we would love for you to come to one of our Membership Workshops! These are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9:30a to 12:15p in C128 (The Game Plan Center in the Atrium). We invite you to join us for breakfast as you interact with our staff, our deacons and learn what it means to be a member of Cottonwood Creek.
