Children's Policies
Specific in-classroom training and tools will be provided through your children’s ministry director and/or trainer. Indicate you agree to follow these essential policies while serving in children’s ministry by checking the box before each statement:
Treat all children with love and dignity.

Consider yourself a disciple maker, not a babysitter. Follow the provided Bible lessons to ensure God’s Word is taught.

2-Leader Rule: Never work alone or isolated with a child. Always serve in view of another leader.

Only adult women change diapers. Changing must take place so that another leader can easily see the child being changed.

Preschool Restrooms: In the individual preschool restrooms, two leaders must be present in the classroom/restroom area.

Group Restrooms: Older kids using multi-person restrooms must go with a friend (i.e., in pairs or more). A leader will escort the group to the restroom door and remain outside until the children come out. If they are taking longer than seems necessary, the leader will call for the children from the door. Never go into a restroom stall with a child and shut the door.

Keep your cool. If a child’s behavior is out of control, always ask for help from a staff member or another leader. If a child persistently will not listen to instructions, let a staff member know so that they can help and follow up with parents.

Spanking, hitting, hurting, humiliating, degrading, or yelling at a child is forbidden.

Remain attentive and in control. Limit phone use and stay off social media while serving kids.

If you suspect or know that a child is being or has been abused, you must report that immediately to the children’s staff so that the church can take appropriate actions.

If you see suspicious behavior or do not know how to handle a certain situation, always ask the children’s staff for help.

Statements of Faith
I believe in the one eternal God, Creator and Ruler of all things, revealed in Three Persons: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I believe in Jesus Christ, who is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He came down from heaven, took on flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, was crucified, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father.
