What are putting your identity in?

Maybe it’s the sport you play? A boyfriend or girlfriend? The friends you have?

Those things are great but at some point, they will let you down or fade away. When you face difficult times, those things can’t provide comfort and safety.

Do you see value in placing your identity in something that is everlasting and will always sustain you?

Placing your Identity in God allows you to live in confidence knowing that you have value regardless of whether or not you have a girlfriend/boyfriend or win your sports game.

His love is everlasting, and He gives you value that can’t be taken away.

In Psalm 139: 13-16 it says, “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

This scripture tells us how worth it we are to God, He created us and placed value on our lives the moment we entered this world. Find rest in the value He has given you!
