2022 Brazil Outreach Mission Trip:

  • Date: October 9 – 20
  • Location: Curitiba, Brazil
  • Estimated Cost: $2,200
  • Registration Closes: July 1, 2022
  • Deposit Required: $200 at time of Registration

We will be traveling to First Baptist Church of Curitiba- Parolin Campus, to serve alongside IMB Missionaries, Mark and Caron Johnson. According to Reader’s Digest, Curitiba is the best “Brazilian Big City” in which to live and was awarded the Global Sustainable City Award, given to cities and municipalities that excel in sustainable urban development. Despite its good social indicators, the city has a higher unemployment rate than other cities in the state. We will be helping the Johnson’s provide community outreach and will have many opportunities to serve the church, women, children, and students. This timeframe includes travel days to/from Brazil, ministry October 11-16, some sightseeing, and a little taste of island life.

COST: Estimating $2,200. This cost does not include your passport, travel insurance, vaccinations, travel snacks or souvenirs.

PASSPORT: Each individual will be responsible for their own passport costs. You can apply for a passport at most post offices around the area. Due to COVID, passport appointments are booked months out. Please plan in advance to allow time for your passport to arrive in time for the trip.  The cost for a passport is $165, more if expedited. Passport pictures can be taken at different locations, including Walgreens, for $14.99.

VACCINATIONS:

Required: You must be fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID and carry your Covid Vaccination Card.
