Life is often the most stressful when things are unpredictable and out of our control. So, it’s not unusual, with the state of the world today, we might be feeling more stressed than we normally do. Things you’ve been able to cope with in the past you might be finding more difficult to handle. That’s a normal response to a very abnormal situation. In times like these, we have to focus on what we can control and learn to cope with things we can’t change. Paul reminds us in Romans 12:2, to “not be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind”.  I believe the therapists role is to assist you in this process.

II am a Licensed Professional Counselor Texas and I received my degree in counseling from The University of North Texas. I have been working with adolescents, adults, families and couples for almost 20 years. My specialties include anxiety, depression, adjusting to change, anger management, impulse control disorders, parenting, marriage and family issues.  I offer counseling from a Christian perspective for clients wanting to integrate their faith into their counseling experience. Issues of purpose and meaning are typically explored as well as truths from scripture to increase confidence and peace in dealing with life’s difficult and trying issues.
I currently live in my hometown of Mckinney, Texas with my Wife, Stacy.  We have two wonderful adult children and one incredible grandchild!  If you would like more information, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation. I wish you the best in your therapeutic journey!
