Life Group On Mission: Epiphany Ministries of Texas

main image

The Vestal /Rainey Life group joined with Epiphany Ministries of Texas to help support the first weekend at their Evins Unit at Evins Juvenile Center near Edinburg, Tx.

The Life Group prepared bags of candy, a prayer chain and a poster, all of which contained messages of hope that only the Gospel message can provide.  The prayer chain will be combined with chains from the other volunteers and all of the chain will be put in the room where the youth and volunteers are meeting to demonstrate they are surrounded in prayer for the weekend .

The Epiphany Ministries of Texas is a short three-day course in Christianity for incarcerated juveniles. They learn that they arce worthwhile and it isn't too late to change their lives. This ministry currently operates in eight facilities throughout the state, but hope to expand to all facilities that house juveniles in Texas.

Life Group On Mission: The Samaritan Inn

main image

Life Groups at Cottonwood Creek don't only meet once a week. They serve together whenever they can, always searching for opportunities locally, nationally and across the globe. The Bennett/Schell Life Group was able to help a local man living at The Samaritan Inn Gateway Transitional Apartments. He came to McKinney with nothing, and this Life Group was able to fully furnish an apartment for him. This beautiful gift allowed him to concentrate on finishing the program at The Samaritan Inn instead of worrying about creating a home. He will be able to take this gift with him once he graduates.

The Samaritan Inn is always in need of volunteers and donations. Visit Online
