Barbara Waldrop

I am the Finance Director for Cottonwood Creek Church. I have worked at the church for the last four years but have been a member since 2003. Prior to working at the church, I held various positions in the corporate world.

When & Where You Were Saved: I was saved at the age of ten in March 1974 at Rodgers Baptist Church.

Tell Us About Your Family:My husband, Robert, and I are empty nesters. We met in the singles class here at the church in 2010. Between us, we have three children and five grandchildren.

People Who Inspire You: My grandmother – she had great inner strength, overcoming many hardships in life.

Spare Time Pastimes: I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, movies and reading.

Favorite Bands: Casting Crowns, for King & County, Big Daddy Weave, the Eagles, Alabama

Favorite Scripture: Some of my favorite bible verses are Isaiah 55, Phil 4:13, Josh 1:9 and Jere 29: 11-13.

Dream Vacation: So far my favorite place has been Maui, but I have a long bucket list of places I would like to visit.

Favorite Authors: My favorite authors are Terri Blackstock, Karen Kingsbury and Tessa Afshar.

Education: I graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in HR.

Tell Us About Your Family: I moved to Texas in 2016 with my husband Ben, of 12 years, and our 3 children: Grace, Brooks and Clara.

In Ministry Since: After attending Cottonwood Creek Church and falling in love with their preschool program, I began working at Kid Care as the Family Connections Coordinator!

Spare Time Pastimes: I love spending time my family and traveling to new places!
